Ischia Habitat is a diving center, specialized in underwater film, foto and video, risen to give assistance and advice for the production of documentaries of marine biologic life and it is chosen by the italian association of underwater activity "Federazione Italiana Attivitą Subacquee F.I.A.S.", to form teachers in underwater video making and assembling.

Ischia Habitat, directed by documentary and journalist Franco Savastano, who is also its founder, provides aquariums, projection room, editing studio for digital audio-video assembling.

Under the protection of the Federation and with the support of the local Administration, Ischia Habitat organizes periodically, during the year, the consolidated competition "ESTATE BLU" (Blu Summer), by which new groups of amateurs and professionals, venture themselves in two separate categories, confirming by this initiative the leadership in this sector.

During the whole years, the Center operate equally as a school for underwater video, at various levels of the federal rules, offering to its pupils room + board in private appartments; the opportunity of boatrides in a ten meters long motorsailer, with on board a connected videomonitor for observing the seabed; underwater scooter and a rubberboat as a tender, besides guided dives in the best sites of the Island.
